About Skillsera
Skillsera is a community-powered encyclopedia which teaches educational concepts by connecting bite-sized YouTube video explanations.
The Problem
YouTube has an abundance of educational content, but lacks a mechanism for guiding learners through a branching educational journey. Wikipedia excels as a reference but is not designed for deep learning.
The Solution
Skillsera creates a single, unified curriculum — a database of directed dependency edges between YouTube videos, submitted and vetted by the community as a wiki. Each question can have multiple video answers, and each answer can link to prerequisite questions.
